Shirley R. "Ginny" Bartholdi Wallace 1928 - 2008 BENNINGTON Shirley R. "Ginny" Wallace, 80, of North Branch Street, died peacefully Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. on Jan. 3, 1928, daughter of Leslie and Esther Keeler Fleming, she attended schools in Hoosick Falls. Upon moving to Bennington, Shirley worked for Tansitor, Thompson manufacturing for over 15 years and Triangle Wire Manufacturer. She enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She enjoyed flower gardening and cherished times spent with her family. Shirley leaves two sons, Vincent Bartholdi and his wife, Diana, of Bennington and Anthony Bartholdi and his wife, Sally, of Woodford; a brother, Kenny Fleming of Hoosick Falls; two sisters, Esther Andrews of Hoosick Falls, and Barbara Pierce of Hoosick; four grandchildren, Randa, Tad, Rick and Seth Bartholdi; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Vincent Bartholdi, who died in 1984; her second husband, Robert Wallace; a son, Rick Bartholdi, who died May 14, 1974, and a grandson Aric Bartholdi. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Shirley will be on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. at HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main Street Bennington, interment will follow in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, May 24, 2008 from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
