Sidney Edwin Ogert 1938-2010 WILLIAMSTOWN Sidney Edwin Ogert 72, of Williamstown died Friday November 5, 2010 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his four children, Robin, Mark, Wendy and Wayne. Born in Williamstown on October 7, 1938 the son of the late William and Nellie Ella (Blake) Ogert. He is survived by his children Robin (Ogert) Estrada of North Adams, Mark Ogert of North Adams, Wendy (Ogert) Campbell and her husband Arthur of Williamstown, and Wayne Russell of Johnsonville, N.Y. Four grandchildren: Michelle Marie Estrada, Margeaux Teresa Estrada, Zachery Troy Estrada, Chelsey Lee Ogert and one great granddaughter Bailey Haze Waterman. Among his surviving siblings, his sister Betty (Ogert) Poirot, Brothers Howard and Francis Ogert, numerous nieces and nephews former spouse Sandra J. (Maynard) Singer and life long companion Rosemary Brazeau. He is predeceased by Dorothy (Ogert) Gove, Eleanor (Ogert) Kemp, William and Kenneth Ogert, John Ogert, Carol (Ogert) Smith, Helen (Ogert) Fisher and Nelson Ogert. He was a member of the Armed forces, and served in the army National Guard at Fort Dix, N.J. from 1960-1963. Our father was very artistic and was very passionate about the outdoors, hunting and wildlife that he expressed through heat felt drawing that were captured in pen, ink and colored pencils. He was an outdoor enthusiast, avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed horse shoes, archery, softball with his brothers, bowling, and being social with family, friends and loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his family,friends and loved ones. Beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and dear friend to many. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial Service will be held Thursday November 11, 2010 at 4 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church on Park St. in Williamstown.
