Simone M. Corriveau 1923-2011 BENNINGTON, VT Mrs. Simone M. Corriveau, age 88, widow of Leonard J. Corriveau, a resident of Safford St. in Bennington died on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 28, 1923 in Armagh, Quebec, Canada and was the daughter of the late Hormidas and Antoinette Lemieux Beaudoin. She received her education in Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Corriveau were married in Armagh, Canada on September 14, 1948. In earlier years she was employed at King Company Cleaners, Hoy Manufacturing and then retired from the Vermont Veterans Home. She was communicant of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington, and a member of the St. Anne Society at the church. Her home and family, especially her grandson Derrick was her main interest. Survivors include her daughter Susan Langlois and her husband David of Shaftsbury, Vt., her grandson Derrick A. Coyne of Lansing, Mich., three sisters; Germain, Gabrielle and Rosa Beaudoin and her brother Emilian Beaudoin, all of Canada and nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Corriveau is predeceased by six sisters including two in their infancy. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Death and Burial at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Foundation or to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
