Stephen H. Jesseman Obituary
New London, NH - Stephen H. Jesseman, 81, of Hastings Landing Road, died Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

He was born in Littleton, NH on March 9, 1935 the son of Kenneth B. and Carolyn A. (Hall) Jesseman. He graduated from Concord, NH High School in 1953 and earned his B.S.C.E. from UNH with the class of 1957.

Steve lived in Bennington, VT before moving to New London in 1984. He was a civil engineer working in various capacities including NH DOT and Sprague Electric where he was a plant engineer in construction working worldwide. Steve started Jesseman Associates in 1984 and worked for Colby-Sawyer College for 30 years. He sold the business to Horizon Engineering in 2015 and continued to work.

He was a member of the Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Lake Sunapee Yacht Club. He was founder, member and for several years the Fleet Captain for the Lake Sunapee Cruising Fleet. Steve enjoyed tennis, skiing, sailing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, skating, and ice hockey.

Members of his family surviving include his wife of 40 years, Suzanne (Spooner) Jesseman of New London; three children, Douglas S. Jesseman of Benson, VT; Debbie Hoorwitz of Warrensburg, NY; and Dwight and his wife, Jennifer Jesseman of Alachua, FL; and five grandchildren, Travis, Kati, and Evan Doxsee and Derek and Drew Jesseman.

SERVICES: Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 P.M.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church, 82 King Hill Road, New London, NH. Burial will be in West Part Cemetery, New London in the Spring.
