Stephen M. Hunt 1954-2012 Stephen M. Hunt, age 57, a resident of Bennington Health and Rehabilitation, and former long time resident of Rice Lane in Eagle Bridge, N.Y., died on Wednesday morning, May 9, 2012 following a long illness. He was born in Syracuse, New York, on November 20, 1954, and was the son of the late Francis and Virginia (Van Buskirk) Hunt. She later married Harwood Strobeck. Stephen received his education in Syracuse and attended North Syracuse High School. He served in the Army. In earlier years, Stephen was employed at Baker's Nursery in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. He later worked at National Hanger in North Bennington and was last employed at WCW in Hoosick Falls until he was forced to retire due to ill health. Stephen was an avid animal lover and missed his pets; Bean, Minnie, Mocha and Buffy. He enjoyed fishing and following NASCAR. He is survived by his daughter Nicole Reilly of Middlebury, Vt., and his brother Ronald Hunt of North Syracuse, N.Y. He leaves his step-father, Harwood "Woody" Strobeck of Eagle Bridge, N.Y., a nephew Jeffrey Hunt of North Syracuse and Jeffrey's mother Amy Forrest Hunt of Liverpool, N.Y., Stephen has several nieces and nephews in Watertown, N.Y. He is predeceased by his mother Virginia Strobeck in 2008. The services and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
