Suzanne M. Peters 1948-2010 HOOSICK FALLS Suzanne M. Peters, 62, a resident of Elm Street, Hoosick Falls, NY died unexpectedly Friday, August 6, 2010 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Born in Bennington, April 12, 1948 she was the daughter of Bernard R. and Beatrice (Bates) Mayer. She received her education in the Bennington schools and received her G.E.D. at Mt. Anthony Union High School. In earlier years Suzanne was employed at Bennington Brush Company and Alternatives Plus and at the time of her death was employed at Bernsteins in Shaftsbury. Suzanne enjoyed walking, riding horses, ceramics, doing word searches and listening to country music, especially Rascal Flats. She especially enjoyed her two cats, Misty and Dutchess. Survivors include her children, Heidi and Shawn Allen of Bennington, Rochelle Carey and her fiance, Robert Krawczyk and Michelle and Danny Gordon, all of Pownal; her parents, Bernard Mayer of Sandgate and Beatrice Mayer of Sunderland; ten grandchildren whom she dearly loved nine brothers and sisters, Michael and Nick Mayer both of North Bennington, Daniel and Christopher Mayer, both of Ocala, Fla., Curtis Mayer of Keene, N.H., Roxanne Hover of Arlington, Michelle Hurley and Timothy Mayer, both of of Bennington and Jennifer Trexler of N.C.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends may call at the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME Tuesday, August 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. Committal services will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the family lot in Hinsdillville Cemetery. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Suzanne Peters memory may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
