Tabitha Wilkins 1994 - 2009 SUNDERLAND, VT Tabitha Wilkins, 15, a resident of North Road, died Sunday, July 12, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon New Hampshire as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Tabitha was born in Bennington, Vt., on June 4, 1994, daughter of Robert Wilkins and Colleen Petty and was a student at Longtrail School in Dorset at the time of her death. Tabitha is described as "a free spirited young woman with a warm personality". Tabitha loved all kinds of music. She enjoyed camping, hiking, playing softball with her family and going for rides. Tabitha was a Boston Red Sox Baseball fan, and enjoyed watching horror movies. She also shared a love of dolphins with her twin sister Anastasia. Tabitha cherished time with her family especially her grandparents and her brothers and sister. Tabitha leaves her parents Robert W. Wilkins of North Bennington and her mother Colleen Mahar of Bennington, her paternal grandparents Emma and Bernie Bacon of Shaftsbury Hollow, maternal grandparents Wayne and Gloria Petty of Cossayuna, N.Y., her foster mother Darryl Davis of Sunderland, brothers Zachary, Robert, Xander and Alexei Wilkins and Drake Taylor, her twin sister Anastasia, foster brothers Carl and Bek Davis, her extended foster family Shawn, Jaci, and Riley Brillon of Shaftsbury and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her uncle Ron Wilkins and her foster father Rod Davis. FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of Tabitha's life will be held Tuesday morning July 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at The Bible Baptist Church on Harwood Hill in Bennington. Pastor Michael Twardy will conduct the service. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Monday evening July 20, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
