Thelma M. Dustin
1929-2010 READSBORO Thelma M. Dustin, 81, a resident of Tunnel Street in Readsboro, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, Feb. 4, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Jacksonville, Vt. on Jan. 1, 1929, daughter of Everett and Viola Goddard Williams, she attended local schools. She worked for Kendall Mills in Colrain, Mass. for many years.
Thelma enjoyed bowling, quilting, scrap booking, knitting, camping, especially spending time at Somerset State Forest Camp with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Thelma was a member of the Green Mountain Squares, the Rebekah Lodge, the Mohawk C.B. Club and the Red Hat Ladies Society.
Thelma leaves her son, Gary Dustin of Groton, Vt.; her daughters, Brenda Tirrell of Wilmington, Vt., Linda Brown of Whitingham, Vt., and Wendy Kingsley of Greenfield, Mass.; her sister, Florence Moore of Readsboro, Vt.; 15 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dustin, who died in 1981, and her son, Delbert Dustin, in 1991.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A celebration of the life of Thelma M. Dustin will be held Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Readsboro Baptist Church. Pastor John Brigham will conduct the service. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be held in the spring in the family lot in Jacksonville Cemetery.
