Theresa Brady-Caslin 1957 - 2009 BENNINGTON Theresa "Shady" Brady-Caslin, 52, resident of 5th Avenue, Troy, N.Y., died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She passed away at home, surrounded by loving family and friends. Theresa was born in Punxsutawney, Pa., June 14, 1957, daughter of the late Richard and Theresa Andrelchick Owens. She received her education in Brooklyn, N.Y. She graduated from Mount St. Florence High School in Peekskill and later attended Southern Vermont College. Theresa was most recently employed as a Warranty Writer at Albany RV in Albany, N.Y. Her family would like to express much gratitude for her employer's extraordinary kindness and support. Theresa formerly resided in Bennington, Vt., where she was an active and valued member of the community. She worked for many years at MACE as a Production Manager. After the death of her first husband, she became a dedicated volunteer for Hospice of Bennington County. She later worked at PAVE, where she compassionately and earnestly developed the Family Time supervised visitation program. Theresa was also a founding board member of the Turning Point Recovery Center of Bennington. She took good and loving care of those closest to her, and always had her hand out to others in need. Her compassion and sense of humor were her most endearing qualities. Theresa was dedicated to her family and most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and feeding the birds and squirrels. She also took pleasure in gardening, watching the Yankees (beat the Red Sox), taking trips to NYC, and beginning to celebrate Christmas in October and St. Patrick's Day at anytime of the year. Her smile and laughter will live on in the numerous, crazy, and laugh-out-loud memories that we all have of Theresa. Theresa leaves her loving husband of 10 years, Craig Caslin of Troy, N.Y.; a son she was extremely proud of, Martin Brady and his lovely partner, Crystal Pacher, of Bennington; two preciously adored grandchildren, Emily Isabele "Princess" Brady of Williamsburg, Va., and Colin "Sir Colin" Martin Brady of Bennington; four sisters, Debbie Lindell of New York, Mary Elizabeth Myers of Pennsylvania, Myra French of New York, and cherished sister and biggest fan, Peggy Heim of Texas; a very special niece, Lisa Heim of Troy; two loving step-children, Jayde Caslin of Bennington, Vt., and Jordan Caslin of Troy, N.Y., two very special friends, Timothy and Katherine Oakey of Clifton Park, New York; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Theresa was widowed in 1996 by her husband of 20 years, Martin Brady.
