GREENWICH, N.Y. -- Theresa M. Smith, 45, a resident of Greenwich, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, following a long battle with leukemia.

Born in Cambridge on March 29, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Grace Sullivan.

She lived her early years in North Hoosick and graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School where she was a member of the high school band and enjoyed music.

Theresa married Randy R. Smith on March 18, 1978, and they lived in the Greenwich area there after. She enjoyed raising her two children, and participated in Scouting along with them. She worked for Norplex Oak-Isola in Hoosick Falls for many years and had many close friends there. Theresa also enjoyed bowling, boating, camping, sewing, crafts, needlepoint and her grandchildren. She had many close friends since her diagnosis that were very supportive through her battle. She was full of life for her friends and family and was an active member of the Greenwich Red Hat Society.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Joshua Michael Smith; a daughter, Heather Ann Smith and her fiancé Scott Sherwood and their children, Lita Mai and Raymond Scott.

Also surviving is a brother, Thomas E. Sullivan Sr.; a sister, Helen May Cipperly; and a step-brother, Robert Knowlton. Also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Flynn Bros. Inc., 80 Main St., Greenwich with the Rev. Richard Gratz officiating. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle.

Family and friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be made in her name to Easton Greenwich Rescue Squad, Box 84, Greenwich, NY 12834.
