Theresa Wirmusky Theresa "Terry" Wirmusky 78, passed away peacefully at home on Snow Street, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Walter S. Wirmusky who died on Dec. 9, 1984.Terry was born on Jan. 31, 1931, in New Brunswick, N.J., daughter of the late Sam and Angie Motto Farrara. She graduated from Hoosick Falls High School. Terry worked at various occupations including the Office Manager at the former Wood Flong / Lydall Company in Hoosick Falls. Terry was very active volunteering at St. Mary's Academy, where she was an honorary Alumnus. She was also a member of the Elks Auxiliary and very involved with the club activities. Terry enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home, playing cards, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. She leaves her daughters; Meg Coutinho and Alan of Cincinnati, Helen Laroche and fiancé Mike O'Neil of Queensbury, N.Y., Mary Surdam and Mark of Hoosick Falls and Karen Poulin and Michael of Northville, N.Y., brother Joe Farrara and Lu of Venice, Fla., sister Fran Markey and Joe of Northport, Fla., grandchildren Mike, Joe and Jim Coutinho, Michael and Matthew Laroche, John and Kristin Surdam, Mary-Kate, Mikey and Sam Poulin, also four great grandchildren. Terry is predeceased by a sister, Margo Liporace. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be Saturday May 23, at 10:15 a.m. from the MAHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street. Burial will follow the mass at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to either Rensselaer County Community Hospice or the Karen McGovern Memorial fund through the funeral home.
