Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Mrs. Therese Roseanna Pinsonneault, 89, a former resident of Union Street, North Adams, Mass., died Monday evening, June 27, 2005, at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Charterville, Quebec, Oct. 16, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Roseanna (Gouliquer) Landry. She moved to the United States with her family and she attended schools in Chicopee, Mass.

Therese married Douglas Paul Pinsonneault Jan. 3, 1942, at Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church in North Adams. Mr. Pinsonneault died Nov. 22, 1978.

In earlier years Therese was employed with the Sprague Electric Company in North Adams and later was employed as cafeteria manager at the former Hoosac Cotton Mill on Union Street in North Adams. She then went to work in Boston at the Women’s City Club. She later went to work as fountain manager at the JJ Newberry Store on Main Street in North Adams and prior to her retirement she was the fountain manager for JJ Newberry on North Street in Pittsfield, Mass.

She was a longtime communicant of Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church of North Adams and was a member and past president of Le Circle Francais of North Adams.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick P. Pinsonneault and his wife Babe of Pensacola, Fla., and Michael J. Pinsonneault and his wife Gail of Bennington; six grandchildren, Eric Pinsonneault, Monique Cohen and Shaun Pinsonneault, all of Austin, Texas, Douglas Pinsonneault and Todd Pinsonneault, both of Bennington, and Karen Pinsonneault of Pensacola; three great-grandchildren, Shay Cohen, Madeleine Cohen and Sophia Cohen, all of Austin, Texas; and several nieces, nephews grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Arthur, Philip, Ernest, Patrick and Emanuel Landry and three sisters, Elfeda Landry, Alice Thunberg and Rosalie Potvin.

The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Thursday, June 30, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. with a prayer and then from Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church at 11 a.m. where the liturgy of Christian death and burial will be offered.

Friends may call at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The burial will take place in the family lot in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
