Obituary Condolences

POWNAL -- Full military funeral services for Mr. Thomas E. Miller were held at the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington on Wednesday morning. Conducting the service, under the direction of Commander Thomas Hayes, were members of American Legion Post 69 of Arlington and members of Harned Fowler Post of the V.F.W. of Manchester. Prayers were offered by Chaplain Fred Sheldon. The rifle squad consisted of Larry Clayton, Wink Roberts and Steve Byrne. The taps and echo were accorded the Korean conflict veteran by bugler Maurice Rancourt. The American flag was presented to Mr. Miller’s wife, Joan, by Commander Hayes.

A time of fellowship and refreshment followed the service at the home of Kim and Gary Bishop.

Mr. Miller, 75, a resident of Northwest Hill Road, died unexpectedly Feb. 24, 2005, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

Arrangements were under the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main St., Bennington.
