Thomas G. Bailey 1961 - 2009 Mr. Thomas G. Bailey, 48, a resident of Woodford Road in Bennington, Vt., died Wednesday June 3, 2009 at the Bennington Health and Rehabiltation Center following a brief illness. He was born in Bennington, May 10, 1961. He was the son of the late Harold E. Bailey and Alice (LaFlamme) Bailey who survives. Tom received his education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. He married the former Cheryl Corbett June 5, 1993 at the First Baptist Church in Bennington. In earlier years Tom had been employed as a dishwasher at the Bennington Station. He later worked at Mace in Bennington and most recently at Mack Molding in Arlington. Tom enjoyed car models. He loved to hike to the White Rocks in the summer. Tom always made sure we had "our little piece of heaven" out back by the river. He spent every moment he could out there with his dog "angel girl". He leaves his wife, Cheryl Corbett Bailey, of Bennington; a step daughter, Carla Libby of Bennington; two step granddaughter's Daniel Gaudette "his princess" and Sierra Gaudette "his scooter"; his mother, Alice Bailey of Bennington. Two sisters; Sharon Morin of Woodford and Barbara Stark of Venice, Fla.; a brother John Bailey of Bennington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME on Saturday June 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. If friends desire contributions in memory of Tom may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care they gave to Tom.
