Obituary Condolences

ARLINGTON -- Thomas H. Green, 48, a resident of Route 313 West in Arlington, died on Saturday evening, Aug. 27, 2005, at his residence following a long illness.

He was born in Bennington on Aug. 15, 1957, and was the son of Henry and Mary (Maroney) Green. He received his education in Bennington and is a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School in the class of 1976. Tom was a member of the Vermont National Guard from 1977 until 1983. He was employed at the former Jard Company in Bennington, for 12 years. He then owned and operated T & T Mobil Service Station in Cambridge, N.Y., and most recently before taking ill, Tom was employed as a pipe fitter for Pizzagalli Construction.

He is a former member of the Moose Family Center in Bennington.

He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his two granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by one son, Jeffrey Green of Manchester, N.H.; three daughters, Nicole Minchew of Bennington and Megan and Amy Green, both of Yuma, Ariz.; two brothers, Stephen Green of Bennington, and Denis Green of Arlington; two sisters, Kathy Griffith of Arlington and Marie Green of Winterhaven, Fla.; two granddaughters; Madelyn Minchew of Bennington, and Kendra Green of Manchester, N.H.; and his former wife Deborah Green.

Funeral services are pending and will be announced in the next edition by the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.

There are no calling hours scheduled.
