Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- A memorial Mass of the resurrection was held for Thomas H. Green on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington, with the Rev. Vincent Coppola, csc, associate pastor, officiating.

The pall was placed by his daughters Nicole and Megan. His son Jeffrey was the pallbearer of his urn. The Old Testament scripture was read by Mrs. Mary Jepson and the New Testatment scripture was read by Tom’s sister Marie Morse. The organist for the Mass was Mr. Donald McMahon and the soloist was Ms. Monica Murray. Selected hymns for the mass included “Amazing Grace,” “On Eagles’ Wings,” “I Am The Bread Of Life” and “Song Of Farewell.”

The gifts were brought to the altar by his brothers, Denis and Stephen, and his sisters, Kathleen Griffith and Marie Morse. The eulogy was offered by his sister, Kathleen.

Assisting at the mass were Mr. Joseph Anton, Mr. Francis Sausville, Dr. Barth Vander Els, and Mr. Leonard Anzivino.

The committal followed in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington where Father Vincent offered the prayers of committal.

Following the interment service, a time of fellowship took place at the parish hall.

Thomas H. Green, 48, a resident of Route 313 West, died on Saturday evening, Aug. 27, 2005, at his home following a long illness.
