Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- The burial office with Holy Eucharist for Thomas Henry Foster was celebrated from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Friday morning with the Rev. Canon Robert Miner, interim pastor, officiating.

The church choir accompanied by organist Randall Krum led the congregation in singing “Alleluia! The Strife is O’er,” “Be Still My Soul” and “O God, Our Help in Ages Past.” Personal reflections of Mr. Foster’s life were shared by longtime friend Fred Beuchner and the Rev. Miner.

The lector was John Williams. Assisting in the service were Epistoler Phyllis Dickinson, Crucifer Emily Kennedy, Chalicict Richard Bower, server Ronald Meyers and ushers Donna Maroney and Ted Doucette, who also served as a bearer.

Burial will take place at a later date in the family lot in Bennington Centre Cemetery. A time of fellowship, hosted by members of the church, followed the service in the parish hall.

Mr. Foster, 97, a resident of Monument Avenue, died at his home on Dec. 28.

Arrangements were under the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main St., Bennington.
