1957 - 2015 CONCORD, N.H. Timothy Markey passed away at his home on July 20, 2015 after struggling with serious health conditions. Tim was born on August 10, 1957 in Bennington, VT to Joe and Fran Markey. He grew up in the beautiful town of Manchester, VT, attended local schools and graduated from Burr and Burton Seminary in 1975. He continued his education at the University of Vermont, Northeastern University, and received his Masters at the University of Kentucky. Tim married his high school sweetheart, Lynne Roberts in 1979 and after living in Boston, MA, Lexington, KY and Indianapolis, IN they relocated to Concord where they raised their two daughters, Jackie and Jennie. Tim worked for the State of New Hampshire, RUST Corporation, Dunn Geo Science, and most recently was a Toxicologist, Senior Consultant at AECOM where he was highly regarded and well liked by his co-workers. Tim was very passionate about soccer and was a beloved coach for many years. He was very athletic and loved to play golf, especially with his Dad, and with his buddies in the Jug Open. Tim is survived by his wife, Lynne, and two daughters, Jaclyn Markey, Jennifer Colwell and her husband, Devin; Mom, Fran Markey; brothers, Dana Markey and his wife, Cheryl, Rich Markey and his wife, Sheri, sister, Jill Markey and her husband, Leif Juell; his four grand-daughters, Kiara, Hailey, and Adelyn Colwell, and Chloe Markey, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Markey. Tim was loved and admired by all who knew him. When asked recently what his philosophy on life was; Tim thought briefly, then responded, "To always be kind to everyone". The family is planning a celebration of Tim's life to be held in the near future.
