PETERSBURGH, N.Y. -- Todd A. Babcock, 37, of Babcock Road, died from injuries he received on Sunday, July 16, 2006, doing what he loved, riding his ATV in the town of Berlin. The death was accidental.

Born in Bennington, Vt., on Dec. 12, 1968, he was the son of Frank H. and Joan M. Baker Babcock. He was the loving husband of Jodi L. Done Babcock, whom he married on June 27, 1992, at his parents’ home. Todd was the grandson of Pearl L. Babcock-Koch and the late Lewis Earl Babcock.

A lifelong resident of Petersburgh, Todd was a 1986 graduate of Berlin Central High School. He immediately started working for Rifenburg Construction in Troy. At the time of his death, he was a heavy-equipment operator. He enjoyed four-wheeling, hunting and fishing and was an all-around outdoors man. His true love was that of his wife and his three cherished daughters.

Survivors besides his wife, Jodi, parents, Frank and Joan, and grandmother, Pearl, include his daughters, Jessica Marie, Alissa Mae and Kylie Nicole; his siblings, Laurie L. DiDomenicantonio and Shawn P. Babcock, both of Petersburgh, and Clayton L. Babcock of Mechanicville; his mother-in-law, Barbara Done; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandfather Lewis and his father-in-law, Gerald Done.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home, 66 Armsby Road in Petersburgh on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. for visitation. A funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Edward Upton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund is being started for Todd’s three daughters. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 361, Petersburgh, NY 12138 in loving memory of Todd A. Babcock.
