Obituary Condolences

Tracie Anne Tiernan Fetter 1957 - 2008 GALWAY, N.Y. Tracie Anne Tiernan Fetter, 51, died peacefully at her home on Nov. 3, 2008, with her loving family at her side. Tracie was born in Hartford, Conn., on June 17, 1957, and moved to Glenville, N.Y., with her family at a young age. She graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School's class of '75. Following high school, Tracie moved to Vermont and attended Southern Vermont College. She worked three jobs at one time while living in Vermont. Tracie returned to Glenville to care for her ailing father, Bernard "Bike" Tiernan. It was in 1983 that Tracie began her career as an administrative assistant to AYCO in Latham that spanned 25 years until the onset of her illness. Tracie was re-acquainted with Chuck at their 20th high school reunion in Saratoga Springs after leading separate lives following high school. They fell in love and were married on June 3, 2000. The ceremony took place at their "Chapel of Love" gazebo on the property they owned, and built their dream home. Tracie loved to try different cooking recipes and surprise her family and friends. She was always making sure others were comfortable and had enough to eat. She loved her feline companions and most importantly her soul mate, Chuck. The "Dream Team" was formed when Tracie became ill. Chuck, Debbie and Lisa Bagden were instrumental in caring for Tracie and getting her back to full strength. She was a battler until the very end, alert and content with the unending support she received up until the very end of her life on earth. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Flora and Ned Tiernan, and Amy and Joseph Perry; and by her beloved father, Bernard "Bike" in 1986. She leaves her husband Charles; her mother, Alice Perry Tiernan of Glenville; her brother, Bernard P. Tiernan of Danby, Vt.; her father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Anne Fetter of Scotia; sister-in-law, Debbie Fetter Zadrozny and her husband, Ben, and their children, Ben and Sam Zadrozny of Ballston Spa, and Nancy Fetter Landry and her husband, Fran, and their children, Heather, Meredith, Dan and Eric Landry, all of Glenville. FUNERAL SERVICES: Friday, Nov. 7, 11 a.m. at GLENVILLE FUNERAL HOME, 9 Glenridge Road, East Glenville, with the Rev. Kenneth Bonnett officiating. Calling hours will be at the Glenville Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment Sweetman Cemetery, Charlton. On-line condolences may be sent to the family @ www.glenvillefuneralhome.com
