Obituary Condolences

WALLINGFORD -- Truman A. Eaton, 68, a lifelong Manchester area resident and a resident of Homer Stone Road in Wallingford, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 13, 2005, at his home.

He was born in Manchester on Jan. 10, 1937, the son of Archie and Alice (Kent) Eaton Sr. and attended local schools. He was a self-employed plumbing and heating specialist, owning and operating Truman Eaton Plumbing and Heating for several years.

Truman was an avid deer hunter. He enjoyed camping out, especially in his RV, enjoyed four wheeling, snowmobiling and was very passionate about his woodworking craft, which was evident through many of his wonderful woodworking creations. His main interest was the time he would spend with his family.

He was a member of the Masons Adoniram Lodge 42, Manchester, and a former member of the Dorset Sportmans Club.

He is survived by his wife, the former Marjorie Evens who he married on Dec. 31, 1995 at the South Wallingford Grange; a son, Truman Eaton; two daughters, Leora Mattison and her husband Bruce and Melinda Perkins and her husband Tony; 10 stepsons, Ben Parker and his wife Donna, Leo Parker, Larry Parker, Gary Parker and his wife Evey, Marvin Parker and his wife Eileen, Mike Czarnecki and his wife Kathy, Paul Czarnecki and his wife Karen, Jack Czarnecki and his wife Stella, Ed Czarnecki and Bill Czarnecki and his wife Stacey; a stepdaughter, Lori Sumner and her husband Kelton; grandchildren, Truman, Jessie, Kristi and Chris Eaton, Teira, Bruce Jr., Kevin, Elizabeth, and Katlyn Mattison and Angie and Ryan Perkins; stepgrandchildren, Bradley, Christina, Alicia, Corey, Ben, Sarah and Lucas Czarnecki and Emily and Jennifer Sumner, Ben Jr., Brian and Angie Parker, L.J., Matt and Krista Palmer, Eva, Nikki, Dalton, Trevor and Dylan Parker; brother, Archie Eaton Jr.; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Eaton will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Brewster Funeral Service, 34 Park Place, Manchester. The Rev. Dr. James Grey, of the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert, will conduct the service. Committal services will follow in Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester. The family will receive friends from noon to 3 p.m., prior to the service.
