Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Victor A. Agostini died Oct. 4, 2005, at the Vermont Veterans Home.

He was born April 20, 1923, in North Adams, Mass., to Victor A. and Katherine (Cavazza) Agostini. He was a graduate of Bennington High School and served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant from 1943 to 1945.

He held various jobs over the years, from correctional officer at San Quentin prison to group counselor at the William James Boys Ranch in San Jose, Calif. He also worked in food concessions, for New England Telephone in White River Junction and was an alcoholism counselor at the VA hospital in White River Junction.

He enjoyed singing, dancing, reading, walking and swimming. He was a friend to many. He was devoted to his God Jehovah. Alcoholics Anonymous was a priority in his life from 1976 until his death.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Frank A. Agostini. He is survived by three nephews, two nieces and their families. He is also survived by cousins and many friends.

Pearsons Funeral Home of Lyndon was in charge of cremation. At his request there will be no service.
