NORTH BENNINGTON -- Mrs. Violet J. Julius, 78, a resident of Route 67A North Bennington, Vermont died Tuesday July 3, 2007 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a long illness.

She was born in Forest Dale, June 5, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Archie and Marion (Forrest) Euber. Violet received her education in Forest Dale.

She married John H. Julius October 15, 1946, in Fair Haven.

Violet had been employed at both National Hanger in North Bennington and Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury.

She enjoyed the outdoors, pets, gardening, flowers, reading and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, John H. Julius of North Bennington; two daughters Ruby Joley and her husband, Robert, of Orlando, Fla., and Bertha King and her husband, Kevin, of Bennington; two sons Michael Julius and his wife, Dawn, of Bennington, and Paul Julius and his wife, Christine, of Rutland; three grandsons and four granddaughters; a sister Marion Sterins of Rutland and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At the request of Violet there will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held at the family lot in the Mountain View Cemetery in Orwell on Friday, July 6, 2007, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard White officiating.
