Virginia A. Bentley Hazelton 1922 - 2009 NORTH BENNINGTON Virginia A. Bentley Hazelton, 87, passed away after a short illness on Sept. 20th, 2009, surrounded by her children. Born in Sandgate, Vt., on Sept. 16th 1922, she was the 12th child of Ross Bentley and Eva Munn Bentley. One of 14 kids growing up during the depression, Virginia attended local schools. She served in the Army Air Corps (WACS) during World War II and then married Alfred L. Hazelton in May of 1949. They resided just outside of North Bennington and raised seven children. She was happy to be a Mom and could be heard whistling about the house. Virginia liked to draw sketches of her children, a cow, a horse or landscapes. She enjoyed doing things with, and for, her children. Virginia worked at Mack Molding in Arlington prior to retirement. She loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She rarely left home because there was nothing that interested her outside of the home. Virginia was predeceased by our father, her parents and 11 siblings. She leaves her sister Ruth Bentley of Windsor Locks, Conn., her brother, Ross Douglas Bentley of Tucson, Ariz., and her sister, Marilyn Cymbalak, and her husband, Jim, of Cross Plains, Wisc., she also leaves her "kids", son David Hazleton, and his wife, Mary, of North Bennington; daughter, Cheryl Fox of Sunderland, daughter Clara Beeler, and her husband, Curt, of Logansport, Ind., daughter Darlene Hazelton, her favorite caregiver, of North Bennington, daughter, Sandra Hazelton of Brattleboro, daughter Judy Andrews, and her husband, Ray, of Pownal, and daughter Pamela Parizo, and her husband, Don, of Pittsford, as well as her grandkids, Timothy Fox, Christa Hazelton, Clinton Hazelton, and his wife, Elisabeth, Amanda Parizo Barber, and her husband, Dan, Jareth Andrews, Jacquie Parizo and Conner Andrews. She also leaves her great grandkids, Samuel Hazelton, Seth Hazelton and Jackson Barber. Her family will dearly miss their "Mom", Gram" "Grandma", and "Great Gram". She loved her family and always will. FUNERAL NOTICE: At Mrs. Hazelton's request private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
