Virginia M. Ayer 1922 - 2011 BENNINGTON Virginia Morin Ayer, of Houston, Texas, and a former resident of Bennington, and Port Charlotte, Fla., died Tuesday, June 28, 2011. She was born in Benningtonon Dec. 9, 1922, the daughter of the late John Z. and Adeline Breault Morin. Virginia received her education in Bennington. She married Thomas H. Ayer in 1940 in the Vestry at Sacred Heart Church in Bennington. When Virginia lived in Bennington, she was employed at Bijur Lubricating and also worked in the cafeteria at Mount Anthony Union High School. In 1976, Virginia and her husband Tom moved to Port Charlotte, Fla., where they resided until Tom's death in 1999, when she moved to Lumberton, Texas. Virginia was a member of the American Legion Post #110 Auxiliary in Port Charlotte and was a member of Infant Saint Jesus Catholic Church in Lumberton. Survivors include a daughter Barbara Forbert of Houston; four grandchildren, Lisa, Erik, Sarah and Rachel, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Prayer Service will be held Saturday, July 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 628 Main Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart St. St. Frances de Sales Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9:30 until the time of the Prayer Service.
