Obituary Condolences

NORTH BENNINGTON -- Funeral arrangements for Virginia H. Goolsby were held Saturday afternoon, March 11, 2006, at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, located at 213 W. Main St., Bennington. The Rev. Mary Lee-Clark, of the Second Congregational Church in Bennington, conducted the service. Those in attendance listened to the hymns “Here I Am Lord,” “On Eagles’ Wings” and “Amazing Grace.”

A personal eulogy was offered by Mrs. Goolsby’s son, Charles. Words of remembrance and reflections were offered by many members of Virginia’s family and her friends. The Rev. Lee-Clark offered scripture readings and the gospel.

Interment followed in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery where the Rev. Lee-Clark offered burial rites and committal prayers. Serving as pallbearers were Charles Goolsby, Richard and James Guilmette and Wayne King.

Among those in attendance were representatives from Fairwinds Residential Care Home in North Bennington. Virginia H. Goolsby, a resident of Mechanic Street, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Fairwinds Residential Care Home. Arrangements were under the care of Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, located at 213 West Main St., Bennington.
