Obituary Condolences

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Walter A. Braman, 75, of 242 White Oaks Road, Williamstown, Mass., died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at the North Adams Regional Hospital. He was born in Clarksburg, on Sept. 28, 1932, a son of the late Walter Braman and Anna (Duverney) Braman.

He attended schools in Clarksburg. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving from Jan. of 1953 to Dec. of 1954 with the United States Army in Germany. He was employed for many years at the Sprague Electric Co., in North Adams and the General Cable and Cornish Wire Co. in Williamstown. He also was employed at the Connor’s Brothers Moving Co. in Williamstown. He was last employed for the Berkshire Ambulance Service retiring in 1997.

Survivors include his wife, Joan (Boyer) Braman, whom he married April 27, 1968, in Williamstown; one son, Scott Braman and his wife Amber of North Adams; two daughters, Lisa Braman of Pownal, Vt., and Laurie Lingner and her husband John of North Pownal, Vt.; two grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Braman; one brother, Leo Braman of Stamford, Vt.; three sisters, Anna Spagnolo of North Adams, Joan Morse of Vernon, Vt., and Dorothy Mazza of North Adams. He was predeceased by one brother, William Braman.

Private Funeral Services will take place Friday at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will take place in the springtime in the family plot in North Pownal Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial Donations are suggested for the Cheshire Youth Football League or the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the funeral home.
