EAST DORSET -- Walter A, Yuska (Major, USAF Res. Ret.), 92, a resident of East Dorset, passed away at home on May 14, 2007. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Anthony and Salome (Kecioris) Yuska, who emigrated from Lithuania. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Angela.

Mr. Yuska was a 1933 graduate of New York University School of Commerce, earning a Bachelor’s degree and in 1966, earned his Fellows Life Management degree. He was president of the NYU Foreign Trade Club and a member of Delta Phi Epsilon National Foreign Trade Fraternity. He served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. He had been employed at the home office of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1976. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Yuska is also survived by his daughter and her husband, Christine A. and Russel R. Lang, of Seymour, Conn.; his son, William W., of East Dorset; and his grandchildren, Caren, Anne, Carl and Scot. He was predeceased by his sister, Sister Jean Therese, O.P., Amityville Dominicans.

Friends may call at the Brewster Funeral Home, 34 Park Place, Manchester Center, on Tuesday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m when the family will be in attendance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary’s R.C. Church, Arlington, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Columban’s Cemetery.
