Wesley H. Burdick 1933-2008 HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. Wesley H. Burdick 74, died Thursday , May 15, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. He resided on Mitchell Road in Hoosick Falls with his wife Valerie (Sutton) Burdick. Born in Adams, Mass. on June 18, 1933, son of Hazel Meacham Burdick of Williamstown, Massachusetts and Harold Burdick, he graduated form Oak Hill Elementary School in Pownal and in 1951 from Williamstown, Mass. High School. He was a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean conflict and attaining the rank of sergeant. He worked as a Real Estate Broker for Valerie Sutton Real Estate in Hoosick Falls. Wes was a member of the Disabled American Veterans of America. He liked draft horses, dogs and retired to the farm. He leaves his wife, Valerie; his mother, Hazel; two sons, Marc Burdick and wife, Linda, of Hancock, Mass. and Scott Burdick of Berlin, N.Y.; a daughter, Julie Bourassa of Hancock, Mass.; stepchildren, Lynn Sutton of Lenox, Mass., Jim Sutton and wife, Ruth, of West Hoosick, N.Y., Cynthia Brewster and husband, Michael, and David Sutton and Amy Jeskie all of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Archer Jones, of Williamstown, Mass.; nephew, Dick Cummings, of Pownal; four grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and six step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette Jones. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. from the family house on Mitchell Road. Relatives and friends may call at the house on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will be at Southlawn Cemetery in Williamstown, Mass. on Tuesday at 3 p.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad, the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad or SOCS, a group who helps stray dogs in the Hoosick Falls area, through the funeral home.
