Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for William M. Maroney were held from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Saturday, July 26, 2003 where the burial office with Holy Eucharist was offered by Rev. Arthur Kingdon, rector and Rev. Penny Hawkins, deacon.

Organist was Randall Krum and Soloist was Rev. Penny Hawkins who sang “The Lords Prayer.” Other hymns offered during the funeral service were “The Strife is O’er,” “Amazing Grace” and “O God, Our Help In Ages Past.”

Oblation bearers were Colleen Gates and Marion Cutler. Scriptural readings were offered by two nieces, Jennie Jepson and Nancy Maroney.

Words of remembrance were offered by Mary Jepson, Mr. Maroney’s sister.

Ushers were Ted Doucette, Michael Hayes and Wynn Metcalfe.

Attending the services were several members of the Altar Guild from St. Peter’s Church and members of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Following the service a reception for family and friends took place in the St. Peters church hall.

Burial took place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery with Father Kingdon and Rev. Hawkins offering the committal prayers.

Mr. Maroney, a resident of North Branch Street, Bennington, died Tuesday July 22, 2003 at his residence.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
