William F. Morse, Jr.

1989 - 2013 SUNDERLAND William F. Morse, Jr., 23, a resident of Phyller-Dee Lane, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, as a result of injuries sustained in a logging accident. William was born in Bennington on Dec. 18, 1989, the son of William F. and Amanda (Dryden) Morse Sr.. He received his elementary education at Floodbrook Union School in Londonderry and graduated from Arlington Memorial High School. William loved the outdoors and worked with his father as a logger. He loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed attending local fairs and driving in the truck pull competitions. He competed for a couple of years in Motocross motor cycle racing and enjoyed four wheeling. William enjoyed the company of his friends and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Rebecca Hastings of Sunderland, whom he married July 31, 2010, in Sunderland; his father, William F. Morse, Sr., and his fiance, Adair Hoyt of Danby; his brother, Brian Morse of Danby; his sister, Kimberly Morse and her significant other, Allen Gokey of Brattleboro; his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Lucille Morse of Sunderland; his maternal grandfather, Louis Dryden and his wife, Carol; his maternal grandmother, Susan Mason, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Amanda Dryden. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for William will be Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at 3 .m. at the home of Ralph and Lucille Morse, 234 Kenney Farm Road, Sunderland. Interment will be private. A time of viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m., prior to the service at the home of his grandparents Ralph and Lucille Morse.
