William T. Warren

1929-2013 LATHAM, NY William T. Warren, 83, died peacefully Monday, February 4, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital with his family at his side.

Born in Hoosick Falls on February 15, 1929, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Mary Elizabeth Dempsey Warren. Bill was raised in Bennington, Vt. and later moved to Troy, N.Y. and graduated from Lansingburgh High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War serving as a physician's assistant aboard an aircraft carrier for four years. He was a graduate of Simmons Embalming School in Syracuse and also attended SUNY Farmingdale where he studied nutrition. Bill served his funeral director apprenticeship with the Charles H. Mason Funeral Home in Lansingburgh.

Bill was employed as a salesman for 28 years by the Tobin Packing Company and for Polascek Farms before retiring in 1995. He was a former member of the Troy Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed antiques and gardening and working around his home.

He is the beloved husband of MaryGrace Crispo Warren, his devoted wife of 55 years and the loving father of Pamela A. Warren of White Plains and Latham, N.Y. Bill is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the BOWEN & PARKER BROS. FUNERAL HOME, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham, N.Y. and at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Shrine Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by his brother-in-law, Rev. Roderick Crispo, OFM. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy, N.Y. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
