Obituary Condolences

PAWLET -- Zaide C. Boyce, 94, a longtime resident of Pawlet, died at her Equinox Terrace residence in Manchester on Friday, June 4, 2004. She was born in Nutley, N.J. June 9, 1909, the daughter of Benjamin and Edith (Hadfield) Boyce.

She received her education in Nutley schools. She went to earn a bachelor’s degree from Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., class of 1930, and attended the Columbia College School for Business.

She worked as a treasurer of the Episcopal Church pension fund for many years, then retired to Pawlet in 1969. She was a member of the Crescent Valley Homemakers, the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert and the Dorset Field Club.

She is survived by several cousins and predeceased by her sister Edith.

Burial will be on Monday, June 7, 1 p.m. in the Boyce family lot in Mount Hebron Cemetery in Upper Montclair, N.J.

A memorial service will celebrate her life on a date to be announced, at the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert.
