Joyclyn C. Johnson

1938 - 2014 ARLINGTON Joyclyn C. Johnson, 75, formerly of Arlington, died peacefully Jan. 30, 2014, at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation. The daughter of Robert and Virginia (Sever) Cleaver, she was born in Jefferson City, Wis.,on May 9, 1938. She had worked as a professional seamstress, where she used her talents to invent Slick Stick, an iron on pattern paper, she was also an executive for Sears and had owned Quiet Horizons Gift Store in Shaftsbury where she created and displayed wonderful crafts, many with a Christmas theme. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and using her creative talents. She leaves a son, Harley Blake III, of Readsboro; daughter Julie Blake, of Bennington; granddaughters, Amber and Audrey Blake, and great-grandson, Blake Ryder Vincent, all of Manchester. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be held at the Federated Church of East Arlington on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Kathleen Clark officiating.
