Kenneth Bishop

1954-2014 WOODFORD, VT Kenneth Bishop, 60, a resident of Woodford, passed away March 25, 2014 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Kenneth was born in Bennington on March 24, 1954 the son of Lewis and Jennie (Greene) Bishop. He attended local schools, graduated from Mt. Anthony Union High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Kenneth worked in maintenance for many area companies including the Benmont Corporation, UST, J.K. Adams, Bennington Iron Works and Walmart. He was a member of the Big Spruce Hunting Club and Catamount Bow Hunters. He loved deer hunting and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed watching sports on television, especially following the Boston Red Sox, wrestling, football especially the New York Jets, and NASCAR following Jimmie Johnson. Kenneth is survived by his wife, the former June Provost, of Woodford whom he married on July 16, 1977; his mother, Jennie Bishop of Woodford; son, Henry Bishop of Woodford; daughter, Nicole Bishop and her fiance, James Spaulding of Bennington; brother, Howard Bishop and his wife Tami of Woodford; grandchildren, Scarlett Peterson, and Aidan and Taylor Bishop. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Marie Bishop who passed away in 1978 and his brother, Hank Bishop. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Kenneth will be held Saturday March 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at HANSON-WALBRIDGE SHEA FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, Vermont. Interment will be held in the spring in the family lot in Woodford Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Friday March 28, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family is in attendance.
