Linda Lee Burgess

1955 - 2014 BENNINGTON Linda Lee Burgess, 59, a resident of BenMont Ave. in Bennington, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bennington, following a brief illness. She was born Bennington, Vt., March 7, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Rose Bentley Burgess. Linda received her education in Bennington and was a 1973 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. In earlier years, Linda had been employed at Tansitor Electronics and the Bennington School. She enjoyed going to tag sales and working on computers. Survivors include a brother, Daniel Burgess and his wife, Deborah, of Shaftsbury, Vt.; two sisters, Nancy Muir and her husband, Robert, of Bennington, and Barbara Brambley and her husband, Charles, of Shaftsbury; nieces and nephews, Sarah Bowen and Jason of Arlington, Vt., Raina Burgess of Cambridge, N.Y., Geoff Muir and Megan of Franklin, Mass., Scott Muir and Christie of Shelburne, VT., and a special niece, Holly Burgess and Theresa of North Bennington, Vt., who Linda was especially close to, as well as her great nieces and great nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday June 13, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m., when the family will be in attendance.
