Robert M. Chapman, Jr. 1979-2011 BENNINGTON, VT Robert M. "Robbie" Chapman, Jr., died on Monday, May 2 , at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY following a long illness. He was born in Bennington on April 17, 1979 and was the son of Patricia Sprague of Bennington, and Robert Chapman, Sr. of Pownal. VT. Robbie received his education in Bennington schools. He has worked in foodservice for many years. He enjoyed bicycle riding, and spending time with family and friends, and was very fond of small children. He was an avid collector. Besides his parents he is survived by his fiance, Amanda Harrington of Bennington, his brother, Christopher Carpenter of Bennington and his companion, Amanda. He has two nieces, Kassidy and Cora Carpenter. His two special girls; Brionna and Sweetie, and fourteen cousins. He also leaves aunts and uncles, Kenny Jones, Mark Hoag, Vicki Sprague, and David Brady, Mary Sprague and Jerry Crandall, C. Sprague and Mark Parizzo, Sally Sprague and Alan Oiumette, Kimberly Petersen and Giles, Orville Peterson and Naomi. His five life long friends; Dwight Mason, Kyle Whinney, Brian Harrington, Patrick Gavin and Casey Conklin and many other friends. He is predeceased by two cousins; Heather Jones, and Kolby Peterson. Maternal grandparents; Pearl Fuller and Arthur Sprague and his aunt Dawn Jones and uncle Arthur Sprague. Other family members include: Nancy Hoyt, his father' s wife, Chuckie Chapman and Vicki, Tammy Lynn Wilson and her husband, Ginger Yvonne Chapman and companion, Athena Chapman-Bolger and Bill Rogers other aunts and uncles; Bonnie Van Acher, Edwin Waters and companion, Danny Davidson and Joann, Dale Davidson and Lisa and other cousins, nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St, in Bennington at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Robin Greene officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions for Robbie may be made to the support of his family, to Patricia Sprague through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
