Robert Tutko 1927-2011 BENNINGTON Robert Tutko, a resident of East Street in Bennington, passed away Wednesday September 21, 2011 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. Robert was born in Yonkers, N.Y., on August 31, 1927 the son of Frank and Eleanor Tutko. Robert was educated in Yonkers schools, graduating from Saunders Trade School. Upon graduation Robert enlisted in the United States Navy and served three years during World War II. Robert went to work as a machinist for Otis Elevators in Yonkers, then became an Insurance sales person for New York Life and finally was the Postal Administrator for the Board of Education in Yonkers. Robert enjoyed tinkering around his home and was very handy with his hands. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and vacationing, especially in North Carolina, Florida and points north. He was an avid New York Yankee baseball fan and New England Patriot football fan. Robert is survived by his wife of forty one years, the former Isabelle Jones of Bennington, whom he married in Yonkers September 18, 1970, three step-sons, Steven, Kenneth and Robert Hicks and seven grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside funeral services for Robert with military honors will be held Saturday September 24, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the family lot in Parklawn Cemetery in Bennington. Rev.
