Rosemary Tetreault 1929-2012 BENNINGTON Rosemary Tetreault, 83 of New York and Manchester, Vt., died on Valentine's Day at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center after a long illness. Ms. Tetreault was born to Nora Keough Tetreault and Oliva Levi Tetreault on January 13, 1929, the last of six children. She graduated from Bennington High School and soon thereafter left Vermont for Manhattan to attend Mt. Sinai Hospital School of Nursing. After graduation, she joined the nursing staff there, and spent the rest of her career at Mt. Sinai. She retired as Associate Director of Architecture and Planning, where she indulged her love of both efficiency and design in the planning and construction of nursing units. In 1996, Ms. Tetreault married her love of 60 years, Benjamin Fine, of Manhattan. Mr. Fine died in 2010 at the age of 96. Ms. Tetreault's siblings all predeceased her. She is survived by various nieces and nephews and their children, and is remembered lovingly for her kindness and generosity to her family. In December of 2011 she relocated from Manhattan to Equinox Village in Manchester, Vt., to spend time with her family and come home to Vermont. FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. in Bennington on Friday afternoon, February 17, at 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Putnam School of Practical Nursing through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home.
