David K. Keyes

1955 - 2013 EAST DORSET, VT David K. Keyes, 57, a resident of Mad Tom Road in East Dorset, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Glens Falls, New York Hospital.

David was born in Manchester, Vermont, on July 2, 1955, son of the late Warren L. and Katie C. (Crandall) Keyes, and attended local schools. David worked as a lumber jack all of his life. He worked for Bear Paw in Dorset for twenty-eight years as a logger and assistant manager, Global Timber for four years and then for Allard Lumber. David loved hunting and fishing, especially rabbit hunting. He loved to cook and enjoyed following his grandchildren playing for the Equinox Valley Football League Bull Dogs and following Burr & Burton Athletics. He cherished times spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

David is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of thirty-nine years, Diane (Jaworski) Keyes of East Dorset; his son, Jeremy Keyes and his wife Jody of Manchester; his daughter, Laura Keyes of East Dorset; his grandchildren, Timothy and David Keyes; his brothers, Patrick Keyes and his wife Kathie of Danby, Larry Keyes of North Bennington, Roger Keyes and his wife Anna of Connecticut, Francis Bush and his wife Christine of Florida, Thomas Bush and his wife Beverly and Jerome Bush of Montana and George Bush and his wife Alice of Middletown Springs, Vermont; his sisters, Beverly Brown and her husband Roger of Danby, Doris Rukat of Dorset and Mary Keyes of Manchester, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his son Jason Keyes, brothers Timothy, Warren and John Keyes and sister Jane Bush-Baker.
