Timothy "Shep" Shepardson Sr.
1955-2013 LEE Timothy "Shep" Shepardson Sr., 58, of 160 Willow Hill Rd., died Friday from an apparent heart attack while working as a custodian at Lee High School.
He was born in Elkton, Md. on January 11, 1955 the son of Kenneth E. and Beatrice "Dolly" Crawford Shepardson. He was a 1972 graduate of Lee High School, where he was a proud member of the football team. He served with the 101st U.S Army Airborne from 1974 until 1976.
After the service he was co-owner of Lee Roofing. He and his wife Dee purchased the Bull's Eye Pub, and ran the family business together for 30 years.
He was also employed as chief of maintenance for the Stockbridge Housing Authority for over 15 years, and as a custodian at the Lee Middle and High School.
Shep devoted many years to coaching youth sports such as baseball, basketball, and pee-wee and junior football. He was the assistant coach for the Lee High football team for over a decade, and part of the 1993-1994 Superbowl Championships. He also spent one year as the assistant football coach for St. Joseph High School. Shep loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, he especially had compassion for working with youth and the elderly.
Shep had many fond memories of playing in various leagues such as golf, softball, and darts. He also enjoyed going to Saratoga, horse raising, Lake George, and was a life long Dallas Cowboys fan. Shep enjoyed attending sporting events, and was especially proud to watch his children over the years, and most recently his grandson.
Shep leaves his wife the former Diane "Dee" (Kearin); two sons, Timothy K. Shepardson Jr. of Lee and James R. Shepardson and his wife Erika of Otis; one daughter Kristen Shepardson of Lee; and three grandchildren Makai Shepardson-Gunn, Everett and Eila Shepardson. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 3, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Lee with the Rev. Bill Neil, pastor, officiating. There will be no visiting hours.
In lieu of flowers friends wishing to may make donations in Shep's memory to The Lee Gridirion Club, in care of the KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.

We found out early on that having a special needs child brought many "special" people into our lives and into Chad's. Shep was one of those people. When Chad was one of the managers on the Lee High football team
Shep was so good to him. He always treated him like one of the guys. In the years since when Shep ran into Chad, he always gave him a big hug and that wonderful smile which in turn put a big smile on Chads' face.
Shep was a great guy. He certainly touched our lives in a wonderful way. Please know that our thoughts and heartfelt sympathy are with you all.

To the Shepardson Family -
Please accept my deepest , truest condolences at learning of Mr. Shepardson 's passing.
For myself, 'Shep' was as important and integral a fixture of our community, as it's tall steeple, its regularly sighted orange and black Wildcat-paws stickers and even as much-so, as the lush, rolling Appalachian hills which define our landscape, and cradle our town.
Mr. Shepardson eptiomized ( and shall continue to epitmoize ) for me, a sense of community which is defined by saying hello and taking a minute for everyone, with whom you share your home-place.
Whether the personal ties were by blood, time-spent, or the simple awareness of one as your neighbor, Tim's appreciation for the human ties that sustain us as individuals, and as a village as a whole, will continue to have a deep, profound and good impact on my view of the world.
Here's to you , Shep. You'll be missed.
