Donald C. Dickinson
1934 - 2014 ADAMS Mr. Donald C. Dickinson, 79, of 233 East Road, Adams, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center North, North Adams. He was born in North Adams on July 8, 1934, a son of the late Samuel and Rose Senay Dickinson. He attended schools in North Adams. Mr. Dickinson was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the Marine Corps, until receiving his honorable discharge on July 28, 1956. Donald worked as a self-employed carpenter contractor for many years until retiring. After retirement, he enjoyed working outside and gardening. He was a member of Adams Post 160 American Legion, the Adams Elks and the Adams Sno-Drifters. His wife, the former Mary Buda, died on Dec. 11, 1996. He is survived by a brother, Hugh Dickinson and his wife, Patricia, of Williamstown; his close and dear friend, Martha Stohlmann of Adams, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Dickinson and two sisters, Lorraine White and Janet Dickinson. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be on Tuesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Ambulance Service, 185 Columbia St., Adams, MA 01220.
