Florence Samotin Ozner
1933-2013 LEE Mrs. Florence Ozner 79, of 46 Railroad St. Apt. 307, Lee, died Friday February 22, 2013 at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in Bronx, N.Y., on June 20, 1933 a daughter of the late Boris & Zena (Nebret) Samotin. She attended schools in Bronx, N.Y., and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1951.
She was employed by the Federal Government in Social Security Administration in Queens, N.Y., for 26 years and retired in 1985. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Broadway Theatre, Traveling, and was well liked by friends and family.
Survivors include her husband Jerome Ozner and they were married on December 24, 1957, two Daughters, Jill Putignano and her husband Dominick of Pittsfield, Zina Mattura and her husband Paul of Stroudsburg, Pa., five Grandchildren, Daniel Putignano and his fiancee Nicole, Marisa Putignano, Nancy Putignano, Francine Mattura, Teresa Mattura, two Great Grandchildren, Isiah & Madeline.
Florence was predeceased by a Brother, Frederick Samotin.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Florence Ozner will take place Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA. 01201 with Rabbi Joshua L. Breindel, Spiritual Leader of Temple Anshe Amunim. Officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial Donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in care of the funeral home. Please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com
