Anna C. Esbig 1922 - 2015 FRAMINGHAM Anna Ingalls Esbig, 92, of Framingham, formerly of Hinsdale, died on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Bethany Health Care Center, where she lived for the past year. Born in Pittsfield, on Aug. 19, 1922, the daughter of Wells and Christine Kahl Ingalls, she moved to Hinsdale in 1983, and then to Framing-ham in 2009. She was educated in the Pittsfield school system, and was a 1940 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She attended post graduate classes at Pittsfield High School until her employment at General Electric Company, from 1941 to 1949, where she worked in the Payroll Dept. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for 18 years, taught Vacation Bible School, and was active in Luther League and Married Couples. She enjoyed reading, baking, couponing/refunding, and traveling. Her favorite activity was visiting with family and friends. Her husband, Alfred R. Esbig Jr., whom she married Mar. 26, 1949, died Apr. 1, 1989. Anna leaves her daughters, Linda Anschultz of West Hills, Calif., and Carol Esbig of Framingham; a nephew, David and his wife, Beth Schmid, of Macedonia, Ohio; a niece, Joanne and her husband, Bernie Carnevale, of Oldsmar, Fla.; five grandnephews and their wives; several grand-grand nephews and nieces; cousins, Marjorie Sloan of Colo., and Fred Black and his wife, Jean Ann, of Ohio; and many cousins. Anna was also predeceased by her sister, Barbara Yuhaski; and her son in law, Terry Anschultz. FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 74 First St., Pittsfield, Mass. Visitation will take place at 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Zion Lutheran Church's Capital Campaign Fund, 74 First St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 or the charity of your choosing.
