MacKay, Lorraine  
Lorraine MacKay 1926 - 2016 Lorraine (Marceau) MacKay ,90, of North Adams died Saturday May 21, 2016 at the Williamstown Commons. She was born in North Adams on May 1, 1926 a daughter of the late Arcade and Marion (Roberts) Marceau. She graduated from the former Notre Dame School. Lorraine was employed for over 50 years at the Sprague Electric Co. and was a longtime communicant of Notre Dame Church in North Adams. Her husband Donald MacKay died October 26, 2002. Survivors include a nephew Robert Norcross of Jericho, Vermont. and a niece Judith Kogut of Fort Pierce, Florida. Private Burial will take place in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. The Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELs, 521 West Main St. North Adams, Ma. are in care of arrangements. Molleur, Anita  
Anita T. Molleur 1920 - 2016 ADAMS Anita Theresa (Mulcahy) Molleur, 95 of Adams, MA died Sunday May 22, 2016 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in North Adams, MA on July 12, 1920, daughter of Charles M. and Florence E. (Perreault) Mulcahy. She attended local schools and completed the Commercial Course at the former Notre Dame Parochial School. Before her marriage, she was employed at the Sprague Electric Co. Anita was primarily a homemaker, devoted to her family. After the death of her husband, she worked in the office of the Adams Laundry Co. She attended the Notre Dame Church in Adams. Anita was a member of the Adams Quilters and enjoyed walking, reading and quilting. She especially enjoyed cross-word puzzles and word games. She was the widow of Arthur J. Molleur who died on October 23, 1969. They were married on August 5, 1939. Survivors include two sons- Michael J. Molleur and his wife, Theresa of Adams; and Joseph A. Molleur of Chandler, AZ; and three daughters- Diane N. Lawson and her husband, Dennis of Adams; Kathleen J. Jordan and her husband, Mark of Adams; and Mary C. Molleur of North Adams. She also leaves 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one brother, George E. Mulcahy of Adams; and three sisters; Jane Lancto of Bowling Green, VA; Virginia Cordingley of East Weymouth, MA; and Joyce Melillo of Adams; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Four brothers are deceased including John, Charles, Richard and Peter. Anita's family wants to thank the staff of Williamstown Commons and HospiceCare in the Berkshires for their loving care and attention. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Anita Molleur will be Thursday May 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Thursday morning from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Murphy, John  
John F. Murphy 1921 - 2016 HOUSATONIC--Mr. John Francis Murphy (94) of High Street, West Stockbridge died Friday May 20th surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. He was born in Pittsfield, on November 20, 1921 the son of William P. and Florence L. (Ellery) Murphy and was educated at Saint Joseph elementary and high school. Mr. Murphy proudly served his country during World War II with the United States Army. As part of the military police he served with the 826th Guard Squadron at Mitchell Field, New York. He was a specialist in training German Shepard's and Doberman Pinchers used as guard and rescue dogs. He served the majority of his enlistment in the European Theatre, in Germany. He was honorably discharged on April 1, 1946. He worked for many years as a guard for the General Electric Company. Later he worked in Transformers and retired in 1984 from the Plastics Division. In his early years before the war he was a driver for Dale Brother's Laundry and Kelly Dietrich Distributors. In his retirement he was employed part-time at Country Curtains and Big Y supermarkets. He served as chaplain and was a long time member of the VFW Adams Budz Post 8183, Housatonic along with three of his children who also served in the military. He was also a Fourth degree member of the Bishop Conaty Assembly 395 and third degree of the Mount Everett Council 513 Knights of Columbus in Great Barrington. As a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Corpus Christi Church, John was active in parish life serving through the years as lector, member of the Parish Pastoral Council and parish custodian. John leaves his beloved bride of sixty six years, the former Theresa Gilda Spagnuolo whom he married on April 15, 1950 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He also leaves his six children: Deborah M. Pelletier, Michael A. Murphy, Collette A. Ringie, Maria T. Murphy, Theresa G. Murphy, and Rev. William P. Murphy, pastor of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Housatonic and St. Peter Parish, Great Barrington, His six grandchildren, Collette Pelletier Ranaudo, Brett T. Ringie, Patrick M. Piazza, Rachel Ringie Doyon, Liam X. Piazza, Molly E. Ringie, his brother in law Emerico L. Spagnuolo and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents as well as his siblings Rev. William J. Murphy M.M., Mary E. Greenleaf, Florence M. Carnevale, and Therese M. Dupre. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for John was held on Tuesday morning May 24th at 10:00 am at St. Mark's Church, Pittsfield the Rev. William P. Murphy officiated. Burial was at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. All services were private at John's request. Memorial Donations in memory of John may be made to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Maintenance and Building Fund, St. Peter Maintenance and Building Fund or Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 which is in charge of arrangements.
