William Mahoney 1949 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Mr. William "Bill" Mahoney, 66, of Broadview Terrace, passed away peacefully at home, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Born in Pittsfield on April 2, 1949 the son of James P. and Mary A. Mahoney, he was a 1967 graduate of St. Joseph High School. Mr. Mahoney was a Viet Nam Veteran serving in the US Army. He was stationed in a MASH unit during the war. After his military service, Bill worked for General Electric, both in Pittsfield and Schenectady, NY. He retired in 2008. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. Bill enjoyed cooking and developed a passion for gardening with his wife, Sherry. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time with family. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, the former Sherry Race; a son, Travis Paul Mahoney; a daughter, Katharine M. Mahoney and a granddaughter, Sophia Marie Denise Mahoney. He leaves four step-children, Samantha Barnes, Jennifer Sulock, Scott Sulock and Steven Sulock; four sisters, May Dondey, Margaret Bush, Patricia Coulter and Palmela Parsons; two brothers, Barton Mahoney and Michael Mahoney. Bill also leaves 9 nieces and nephews and several God Children. Besides his parents, Bill is predeceased by a brother, James P. Mahoney who died on October 12, 1953. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. William "Bill" Mahoney will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 8 a.m. from the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, celebrated by Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. John Thomas Maloney, Sr. 1943 - 2015 PITTSFIELD John Thomas Maloney, Sr. 71, of 50 Linden Street Apt. #4, died at his home Friday, May 22, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 20, 1943 in Sharon, CT a son of the late James E. and Alice Pulaski Maloney. He attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1962 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He was a US Navy Vietnam War Veteran. Mr. Maloney was employed for Haddad Rugs as a carpet installer for 45 years retiring in 2003. He was a member of the V.F.W. and his greatest joy was his family and grandchildren. He leaves his wife, the former Lynn C. Blake, whom he married January 7, 1967 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, John T. Maloney Jr. and wife, Carol and James E. Maloney and wife, Angel, two daughters, Stacey A. DeGroff and husband, Stanley of Hannibal, NY and Kelly J. Deeley and husband, Jay of Florida, MA. A brother, his twin, James Maloney and wife, Barbara of West Warwick, RI. A sister, Mary Krack of Dalton, two half-brothers, Donald Rueger of Cheshire, and Raymond Rueger of NY State, 13 grandchildren, John Thomas Maloney III, Ashley E. Maloney, Michael P. Maloney Military Police US Marines and his wife, Brittany, Molly MacGregor and husband, Jawad Tariq, Staff Sgt. Julian Herman US Marines, Helena Herman, Arysa R. Maloney, Audrina M. Maloney, Landon M. Maloney, Stanley E. DeGroff IV, Britani N. DeGroff, William R. DeGroff, Jr. and Chelsea L. DeGroff and her companion, Stephanie Mirante, three great-grandchildren, Stanley E. DeGroff V, Hunter J. DeGroff and Juliana Card. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield. Burial will follow in the family plot at Pittsfield Cemetery with military honors. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.

McCloskey Sr., John  
John C. McCloskey Sr. John C. "Jack" McCloskey Sr., age 77, husband of the late Patricia (Polumbo) McCloskey and the late June Hashim, of Philadelphia, PA, formerly Pittsfield, MA, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford, PA. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Bernard and Catherine (Kelly) McCloskey. Mr. McCloskey graduated from West Catholic High School in Philadelphia, and served in the United States Navy. He was the owner and operator of Allendale Gifts and Lynn's Hallmark. He was a devoted family man, and was a member of the Elks and a founding member of the Little Club in Surprise, AZ. Mr. McCloskey is survived by three children, Barbara E., wife of Kenneth Sabo of Phoenixville, PA, Karen L. McCloskey of Watertown, MA, and John C. Jr., husband of Patricia McCloskey of Mertztown, PA; three grandchildren, Sean M., Sara E., and Matthew R. Sabo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Sadie Furman, Patricia Sanders, Mickey and Jimmy McCloskey. FUNERAL NOTICE: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Cemetery, 222 Pecks Road, Pittsfield, MA on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
