Giroux, Stephen  
Stephen Giroux 1951 - 2015 NORTH ADAMS Mr. Stephen Brooks "Hurricane" Giroux, 64, died Friday, July 31, 2015 at Hillcrest Commons. He was born in North Adams, MA on March 15, 1951, son of Ruth Rose (Brooks) Giroux and the late Leonard Milton Giroux. He attended local schools and graduated from McCann Technical High School. Stephen served in the MA. National Guard. He was last employed by Garda Armored Car Co. Before that, he worked at General Electric Co. for 24 years until his retirement. Stephen enjoyed wood-working. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen (Martin) Giroux whom he married on November 3, 1972; his mother, Ruth Rose Giroux of Bennington, VT; one daughter, Cheryl Phillips of McGuire AFB, NJ; one son, Robert A. Giroux of North Adams; and two grandchildren, Michael Stephen Phillips and Brittany Lynn Phillips. He also leaves his brother, Leonard M. Giroux Jr. of Bennington, VT; his mother-in-law, Shirley Martin of North Adams; his brother-in-law, Allen W. Martin of AZ and one niece, Alyssa M. Giroux. He was predeceased by his brother, Timothy R. Giroux. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Stephen "Hurricane" Giroux will be Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Annabelle Harris 2014 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Annabelle Marie Harris, 16-months old, of 234 Cheshire Road, died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at her home. Born in Boston on March 3, 2014, she was the granddaughter of Wayne E. and Rebecca A. Farnham Harris. Anabelle leaves her grandparents, Wayne and Rebecca Harris; her parents, Gary Harris and Kelly Phaneuf; her great-great-grandmother, Alberta M. Harris of Pittsfield, as well as many aunts and uncles, family members, and close friends who are "Team Annabelle". "froG on!" Hayes, Mary  
Mary M. Hayes 1940 - 2015 DALTON Mary M. Hayes, 75, of 42 Carson Avenue, died Sunday at Craneville Place of Dalton where she had resided for the past few weeks. Born on January 7, 1940 in Coal Grove, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Norrella McKean Hart. A longtime Dalton resident, she was educated in Ohio schools and was a 1958 graduate of Coal Grove High School where she played the trumpet in the school band. She married her husband, the late Pierce J. Hayes on April 2, 1968 in Pittsfield. He died on December 13, 2007. Mrs. Hayes was primarily a homemaker where she enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling and spending summers at the family cottage on Pontoosuc Lake. She leaves two sons, John A. Jenkins and his wife, Shelley of Dalton, and Shawn J. Hayes and his significant other, Michelle Kellar-Creamer of Pittsfield. A daughter, Jill Taylor and her significant other, Timothy Daury of Pittsfield. She also leaves a daughter who she fostered, Kathy McGraw of Roanoke, VA, three sisters; Karen Dickess and her husband, Dennis of Ironton, Ohio, Margie Klegg and her husband, Tom of Newburgh, NY and Rose Hensley of Coal Grove, Ohio, two brothers, Earl Hart and his wife, Esther of Franklin Furnace, Ohio and Merrill Frische of Sandusky, Ohio as well as her sister-in-law, Mary Hayes of Pittsfield, five grandchildren, Johnathan P. Jenkins, Samantha R. Jenkins Kehrer, Jaimie L. Taylor, Shawn J. Hayes Jr. and Bryanna L. Hayes. She was predeceased by three brothers, Cos Hart, Fred Frische and Gerald Frische as well as by three sisters, Joyce Hart, Joanne Stevens and Faye Butler. She will be greatly missed by her loving dog "Nicky". FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mary M. Hayes of Dalton, MA who died July 26, 2015 will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton concelebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor and the Rev. John Salatino, pastor of St. Mark Church in Pittsfield. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours will be held Friday morning form 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Lavalle, George  
George M. Lavalle 1951 - 2015 SOUTH LEE George M. Lavalle, 63, passed away peacefully at his home in South Lee on July 29, 2015 He was born in Northampton on December 30, 1951, the eldest son of the late George and Shirley Golas Lavalle, formally of Hayden -ville, MA. He attended Williamsburg High School and received a degree at the University of New Mexico. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Diane who died on March 1, 1990. He is survived by his three children: Adrienne Lavalle and her partner, Colin of Milan, NY; George A. Lavalle and his wife, Tanya of Pittsfield; and Melanie Lavalle and her fiancee, Kyle of Pittsfield. He is also survived by his longtime partner, Linda White of Otis; Two brothers; Robbie Lavalle and his wife, Tracey of North Hampton and Billy Lavalle of Leeds, MA and a granddaughter Kaedyn Lavalle of Hinsdale, MA George enjoyed traveling the United States and reading about its history. He retired from the former Mead /Mead Westvaco Mills in South Lee after 35 years of service. Services will be announced by the family. Lescarbeau, Stanley  
Stanley A. Lescarbeau 1924 - 2015 CLARKSBURG Stanley A. "Pete" Lescarbeau, 91, died on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was born in North Adams on July 14, 1924, a son of the late Wilfred "Fred" and Elodie (Roy) Lescar beau. He attended schools in Florida, MA and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams. Pete was first employed at the Hoosac Mills and then with the Buildings and Grounds Department at Williams College, retiring in 1985. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church. Survivors include his sister, Rita DeMarsico of Williamstown. He also leaves his lifelong friends, neighbors and caregivers, Dennis and Elizabeth Pugliese and family, several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Alice Lescarbeau and Irene Boulerice and two brothers, George Scarbo and Edward Lescarbeau. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Stanley A. Leveille, Lorraine  
Lorraine Leveille 1938 - 2015 WESTFIELD Lorraine M. (Gagne) Leveille of Vadnais St., passed away unexpectedly at Noble Hospital Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born in Westfield, May 30, 1938, the daughter of the late Albert P. and Yvonne L.(Gingras) Gagne. She was educated in the local schools and was a graduate of Westfield High School Class of 1956. Lorraine was employed for many years as a payroll supervisor at K and M Electronics in West Springfield. Lorraine also had been employed at the East Otis Post Office for several years. A long time member of the Southwick Congregational Church, Lorraine was an active member of many church committees and was a member of the church choir. Very active and civic minded, Lorraine was a volunteer at Noble Hospice and VNA and was very generous with her time, willing to help anyone or any animal she found in need. Lorraine was happiest when she was tending to her yard and garden. Her beloved husband Donald E. Leveille passed away in 2008. She is survived by her loving children; Cheryl A. Johnson and her husband, James, Michael J. Pitoniak and his wife, Florence, both of Westfield, and Stephen J. Pitoniak and his wife, Kristin of Montgomery, her caring brother, Richard P. Gagne and his wife, Patricia of Westfield, her five cherished grandchildren; Zachary, Elizabeth, Emily, Richard, and Lucy, her adored great-grandson, Jayden, and her many nieces and nephews. Lorraine also leaves her former husband and father of her children, Phillip J. Pitoniak of Westfield. Her beloved son, Richard J. Pitoniak, predeceased her in 1985. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert E. Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main St., Westfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Southwick Congregational Church, burial will be at the convenience of the family. Mahoney, Rolande  
Rolande Mahoney 1930 - 2015 NORTH ADAMS Mrs. Rolande M. "Rollie" (Remillard) Mahoney, 85, of 73 Bracewell Ave. North Adams, died Sunday morning, July 26, 2015, at her daughter's home in Florida, MA, surrounded by her family. She was born in North Adams on June 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Romeo and Edna (Lecuyer) Remillard , and attended the former Notre Dame Elementary School in North Adams. Mrs. Mahoney worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for over 30 years, until retiring in 1992. Earlier, she had worked for the former New England Telephone Co. She had been a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. She enjoyed playing dominoes, doing word puzzles, and mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. Her husband, Donald Mahoney, whom she married on June 21, 1952, died on March 7, 2006. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Church and her husband, Ted, of Florida, MA; two sons, Timothy Mahoney and his wife, Sharon, of North Adams, and Richard Mahoney and his partner, Jimmy Pham, of Albany, NY; a sister, Rita Reardon of North Adams; two brothers, Laurent Remillard of Pennsylvania, and Real Remillard of Ohio; four grandsons, Gabriel, Jacob, Zachary and Silas Bonneville; three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Lane and Charleigh; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael D. Mahoney, on August 25, 1997. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 29th, at 11:30 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 25 Hoosac St. Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Marlow, Fred  
Fred V. Marlow SUN CITY CENTER, FL Fred V. Marlow, 84, passed away, unexpectedly while on vacation, on July 24, 2015. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick V. Marlow, SR and Marjorie O'Leary Marlow. Following in the tradition of his family he attended Manhattan College in NYC. He was also a graduate of Officers Candidate School. He was honorably discharged from the US Army as a First Lieutenant. He retired after 30 years as a financial manager for Prudential Insurance Co. After moving to Peru, MA in 1974 with his family: he was an officer on the Peru Police Dept. He also served on the Peru conservation committee. After moving from Massachusetts to Florida he became a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center, FL. He was an avid golfer, outdoorsman, computer enthusiast and had many other interests that he shared with family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gloria A. Marlow; daughters, Jeri A. Kubicki & her husband, Michael, Ellen Marlow-Ambrosino and her husband, Tim. sons, Michael A. Marlow and Matthew F. Marlow; and four grandchildren, David M. Kubicki, Stephen M. Kubicki & his wife, Jessica, Eric M. Ambrosino and Aaron C. Ambrosino as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Diana M. Goodman. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all the lives he touched. SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Friday July 31, 2015 at 11a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Blvd, Sun City Center, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Hope Lodge at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL or the American Heart Association.
