When submitting a notice please make sure to include the name, address and telephone number of the person responsible for payment so that we may compose the obituary and provide you with both a proof and pricing information prior to the obituary appearing in the newspaper.
Obituaries are a paid service and are placed through the Classified Advertising Department. Residents who wish to place an obituary of a friend or loved one may do so through the funeral service provider that handled the arrangements of the deceased. Those who chose not to use the services of a funeral home will be required to pay the cost of publication prior to an obituary's placement.
Death notices, identifying the deceased and the funeral home involved, must be placed by the funeral home handling the arrangements.
