Camille P. Wojcik

1938-2012 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Camille (Petrillo) Wojcik, 74, of 130 Wealthy Ave. Pittsfield, died peacefully at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield on Monday, November 19, 2012, surrounded by her family.

She was born in New Haven, Conn., on March 27, 1938, a daughter of John A. and Beatrice (Thomasino) Petrillo. She was raised in Southington, Conn., and graduated from Southington High School in 1956.

A Registered Nurse, Camille graduated from Grace- New Haven Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She was class treasurer, and received an award for Outstanding Catholic Student Nurse in her senior year.

She married her husband, Francis E. Wojcik, on April 8, 1961, and moved to Pittsfield. While in Pittsfield, she worked at the former Pittsfield General Hospital, then worked at Berkshire Medical Center and the former Dalton Nursing home as a staff nurse. She last held a position at Pittsfield Visiting Nurses in the Geriatric Health Maintenance Program. She was proud to be a Registered Nurse and had a passion for the nursing profession.

She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Dalton. She enjoyed reading, dining out, attending family functions, watching her sons play and coach sports, and had a tremendously strong love for her family.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Francis E. Wojcik; two sons, Ronald F. Wojcik and his wife, Diane, of Windsor; and Mark E. Wojcik, of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Kathryn Wojcik and step-grandsons Christopher and Matthew Graham; A sister, Patricia A. Magaudda, of Scarborough, Maine; A brother, John J. Petrillo and his wife, Jackie, of Scarborough, Maine; two Nieces, Gina Magaudda and Michelle Phelan and her husband; John; A nephew, Alan Petrillo and his wife, Kristen; as well as four great nieces and a great nephew.

Her brother-in-law, Dr. Michael Maragaudda, predeceased her.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24th, at 9 a.m. from the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St. Dalton, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, Dalton, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams.
