1991 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Chelsea Marie Flanagan, 21, of 177 Linden Street, died Friday, April 5, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Blandford.

Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 12, 1991, the daughter of Sean Pettit and Trisha Flanagan, Chelsea was educated in Pittsfield schools and earned her General Equivalency Diploma. She continued her education at the Mildred Elley School.

She had been employed by TGI Friday in Florida and in telemarketing.

Chelsea made people smile, had a great sense of humor, and loved her friends. She enjoyed music and dancing.

Chelsea is survived by her mother, Trisha Flanagan, of Pittsfield; her father, Sean Pettit, of Pittsfield; her sister, Brittany Flanagan, of Pittsfield; her maternal grandmother, Diane C. Phelps, and her husband, Patrick, of Crystal River, Fla.; her maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Scheufler, also of Crystal River, Fla.; her maternal grandfather, David Flanagan, of Kissimee, Fla.; three stepsisters, Sarah Pettit, Kiersten Pettit, and Shauna Pettit; her paternal great grandmother, Dorothy Lennon of Pittsfield, and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her maternal great-grandfather, William Scheufler and an uncle, William D. Scheufler.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Chelsea Flanagan will be private. A candlelight vigil will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.

The DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
