Constance Alcombright

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Constance Jeannette Alcombright, 65, of 71 Benlise Drive, formerly of 37 Angeli St., North Adams, died early yesterday morning at home.

Born in Stamford, Vt., on July 11, 1939, daughter of Thomas and Maude Sumner Norton, she was raised in Newark, N.J., and graduated from high school there. She returned to North Adams when she was in her 20s. She had resided in Clearwater, Fla., for 13 years until returning to North Adams again in 2003.

Ms. Alcombright was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Top of the World Retirement Community in Clearwater until her retirement.

She leaves three daughters, Kimberly A. Bissaillon, with whom she resided, and Kelly A. Heller and Bobbijo L. Perras, both of North Adams; two sons, Thomas N. Heller of North Adams and Robert McNeil of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Marie Gagnon of Bellville, Texas; a brother, Thomas Norton of Orlando; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Constance J. Norton Alcombright died early yesterday morning, Aug. 15, 2004, with her family at her side at 71 Benlise Drive, Williamstown. The funeral and burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. She was a very kind, loving and generous friend, and her house was always open.
